I love this place. Been coming here for years. We need more like them. So charming and hardworking. Excellent quality sandwiches. Just the best and tastiest and so much variety! And just perfect to wash down with some ice tea.

This is a small deli located in Kits on Broadway serving up a large menu of sandwiches, along with various sides like soup and salad. You order at the front counter; they do have a limited number of seating, so you may need to take your food to go if it's busy. I had their Classic Reuben and Back from Rome. I found their chicken to be a bit bland, but I really enjoyed their pastrami sandwich. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend checking this spot out for some good quality and affordable meals.
Classic Reuben ($8.25):
4/5
This consisted of pastrami, Russian dressing, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese on grilled rye bread. The sandwich came with a very good amount of meat, which was tender, salty and flavourful. The sauerkraut provided a great bit of tanginess that cut through the richness of the meat and cheese. The bread was also perfectly grilled and crispy.
Back from Rome ($9.25):
3.5/5
This contained chicken breast, pesto, roma tomatoes, and boccocini on grilled ciabatta. The sandwich again has a good amount of filling. The chicken breast, while tender, was a little bland and underseasoned. The pesto had a nice, strong flavour, but was also not salty enough. The bread was again perfectly grilled and crispy.
Summary:
Food: 3.5/5
Price: 4/5
Service: N/A
Overall: 4/5

Judging by the other reviews, I either came here on a bad day - or people like the idea of this place more than the execution.
It is a lovely concept: a cozy, simple neighborhood sandwich spot. Unfortunately, neither sandwich I tried was satisfactory. I'm not a meat maniac, but the reuben was the skimpiest I've seen - should have at at least 50% more corned beef. Worse, the Picasso chicken sandwich was dominated by the stale chicken taste.
My americano was delicious (they use Caffe Umbria beans), but I won't be back for the food. -

This place is full of regulars for a reason. I tried #35 "Back to Athens" and it was really good! Initially was nervous about the turkey being a little pink, and instead of being annoyed with me, the owner explained the cooking process and offered to make me a new one just to appease my stress about it. I felt really bad, but he was friendly and happy to do it. The owner seems to take pride into what he does, and there is a reason why so many people come back for more.
Next time I will try one of the specials on the board. -

Excellent sandwich place! Once you walk in, you'll see the menu on the wall and see how much variety of sandwhiches they have here. The place looked quite cozy and inviting.
We tried #14 classic reuben and #17 who is it. The sandwhiches were pretty meaty and delicious. Everything tasted fresh - no complaints with the sandwiches. Also, the prices were pretty reasonable.
I think it would be pretty handy if they had a drink menu. I noticed they had a coffee machine and other drinks in their display but I wasn't quite sure what else they had.
Overall, pretty awesome place to grab a nice fresh delicious sandwhich!
